![]() Click the “Background” button on the ribbon, then click “More Backgrounds.” Click one of the color option tabs, such as the “Gradient” tab, then click a radio button, such as “One color.” Choose a color for the background and click “OK.” Choose a document from the “Available Templates” window or open an existing one. Click into the “Color” box, click a color for the background, click “Apply to All” and click “Close.” Click the “Background Styles” button on the ribbon, then click “Format Background.” Click the “Fill” option if it is not enabled, then click the “Solid fill” radio button if it is not enabled by default. Start PowerPoint 2007 and click the “Design” tab. ![]() Click the “OK” button to close the “Fill” window and return to the grid. Click the “Fill” tab, then click a small colored box to give the cells that background color. Right-click the cells and choose “Format Cells,” which opens a window with the same name. Highlight all of the cells for which you'd like to change the background color.
